This policy describes how Realviz LLP (“Realviz”, “Brickrat”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit brickrat.com or use the Brickrat desktop application and related services (the “Service”).

We try to keep this short and readable. If anything is unclear, write to us at /contact and we will explain.

Who we are

Brickrat is built by Realviz LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India and based in Bangalore, Karnataka. We are the data controller for personal information collected through the Service.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the Service.

• You give us directly. Name, email address, firm or independent practice, and any message you submit through our waitlist or contact form.
• From your use of the Service. Basic technical data — IP address, device type, browser, referring page, and aggregate usage events — collected through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
• From the desktop app. When you use the Brickrat desktop app, the SketchUp files and 3D models you process stay on your machine unless you explicitly choose to publish a walkthrough. When you do publish, the baked walkthrough output is uploaded to our hosting infrastructure to generate the share link.

We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data (such as health, religious, or biometric data). Please do not include such information in messages to us.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To respond to waitlist signups, contact-form messages, and support requests.
• To send transactional or service-related emails (for example, beta access notices).
• To diagnose technical issues, prevent abuse, and keep the Service secure.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations under Indian law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising on the Service.

Third-party services we rely on

We use a small number of trusted vendors as data processors. Each is contractually obliged to handle information in line with this policy.

• Formspree — receives submissions from our waitlist and contact forms and forwards them to our team inbox.
• Vercel — hosts brickrat.com and the published walkthrough viewer.
• Email and analytics providers — used to send service emails and to understand aggregate site usage.

Some of these vendors are located outside India. See “International transfers” below.

Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses a minimal set of cookies and equivalent storage to keep the site working and to measure aggregate usage. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Waitlist and contact-form submissions are retained while you are on the waitlist or in active correspondence with us, plus a reasonable archival period afterwards. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in India — you have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period.

International transfers

Some of our vendors process data outside India. Where this happens, we rely on contractual and technical safeguards consistent with applicable law to keep your information protected.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Children

Brickrat is built for professional architects and design firms. The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
